there are two primary types of video: screen-capture video and full-motion video. Screen capture is a video recording of a computer screen with a voice talking over it; with it you can record a PowerPoint-style presentation or a demonstration of a website or some software. Full-motion video is like the video you see on TV; it’s shot with a camera. Neither of these types of video is better or worse than the other; each has its strengths and weaknesses. For instance, some people prefer screen-capture video because they don’t feel comfortable appearing on camera. Others prefer full-motion because there’s often less prep work involved—if you know your material and have a rough outline, you can just turn on the camera and start recording.
