In Georgia, Graham told Trump he was working to recruit Trump favorite Herschel Walker. A three-time All American and 1982 Heisman Trophy winner, Walker was considered one of the greatest football players of all time. He was also a longtime friend to Trump.

Oh my...

The intelligence agencies reported they had determined with high confidence that Russia was behind three major acts of aggression: the poisoning of opposition leader Alexey Navalny, the massive cyberattacks that allowed Russia to spy on or disrupt some 16,000 computer systems worldwide, and the interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election to help Trump.

He also warned Putin not to start a new military incursion into Ukraine. Putin continued his categorical denials and said he was upset about the killer accusation.

Biden later told The New Yorker that during that meeting, he said, “Mr. Prime Minister, I’m looking into your eyes and I don’t think you have a soul.” Putin smiled and told Biden, through an interpreter, “We understand one another.”

A reference to Bush Jr. saying that he "looked into Putin's eyes and saw he had a good soul."

Graham told Trump to please stop excusing the behavior of the Capitol rioters. But Trump would not stop. “They were peaceful people. These were great people,” he said in a July 11 interview with Fox News. “The love, the love in the air, I have never seen anything like it. “You have people with no guns that walked down. And frankly, the doors were open and the police, in many cases, you know, they have—they have hundreds of hours of tape. They ought to release the tape to see what really happened.”

They did.

“We’ve got to keep doing this, Brad.” He wondered aloud if Biden was suffering from dementia. “Decrepit,” Trump spat, speaking of Biden.

“I don’t think he sees it as a comeback. He sees it as vengeance.”

Milley, ever the historian, thought of the little remembered 1905 revolution in Russia. The uprising had failed, but it had set the stage for the successful 1917 revolution that led to the creation of the Soviet Union. Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the 1917 revolution, had later called the 1905 revolution “The Great Dress Rehearsal.” Had January 6 been a dress rehearsal?

“We didn’t lose. We didn’t lose. We didn’t lose,” Trump told the crowd. “Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!” they roared. “We won the election twice!” Trump said. This was the latest way to claim he had beaten Biden. The crowd erupted. “And it’s possible we’ll have to win it a third time.”
