I imagined this show would be a weird love child of the show where people had to survive crazy feats in the jungle and that show where they took delight in scaring their contestants, not the one featuring the terrifying women from specific cities, I’m talking about the show where you had to eat bugs and jump from moving vehicles.
I wanted him to probe me like he was an alien, and I was the first human he had ever abducted.
“You are trying to tell me not to panic if my mate gets murdered in front of my eyes?”
My mouth hung open in disbelief. I had essentially just killed a man, no, two men, by pantsing someone.
ZAP. Ew. Bug. Imp shuddered dramatically. Her flaming feathers sparkled inside my mind’s eye. Anzac dropped like a—well, like a fly.
I blew out a sigh and reached down to adjust his head, so he at least wasn’t face down on the carpet. ZAP. Don’t touch. Gross bug. Imp gagged. Anzac’s body lurched off the flood like I’d used defibrillator shock paddles on him.
“Slap me with bread and call me a sandwich!
