“I’m no hero, Ivy. You start thinking like that and you’ll only end up disappointed.” “You can be whoever you need to be out there, but you’ll always be my hero even if the only person you’re saving me from is myself.” His eyes blaze at that, but he holds himself rigid as if he has no idea how to process my words. He gets like this anytime I say something nice about his character. It kind of makes me wonder about the sort of women he dated before me.
