For those who found comfort in the darkness that others feared.
“You can love a monster, it can even love you back, but that doesn’t change its nature.” ~ Eliza Crewe
Money and power. It’s what the world is built on and nobody is beyond corruption.
I’d call bullshit if I cared enough what people thought about me to correct them, but if their fear keeps them away, then who am I to knock a gift horse in the mouth?
“Actions have consequences,
there is a desperation with the disadvantaged.
Many make poor decisions in a bid to survive, but money and power do not wash away a man’s sins and make him pure. It just buys him a larger closet in which to hide his skeletons.
“My…friend and our driver.” He points to the car where I can just make out the guy in the front. Ping. Red flag number two. One girl and three men? I’m pretty sure that only ever ends well in porn. In real life, I don’t like those odds at all.
I don’t trust strange men just because they said so.
His voice—holy guacamole—is porn for the ears. Is that a thing? I don’t know, but it should be. This man could read my shopping list to me and I’d likely come before he reached the end.
Penis brain occurs when you see a guy so damn hot, your body shuts down and you slip into a cock coma. This results in the inability to form coherent sentences and activates a primal urge to bend over on all fours and mate.
“You taste like sunshine. Pure fucking sunshine.”
Did I just step into an alternate reality? Fuck, if so, I hope ice cream is calorie-free here because I’m going to eat a gallon of it when I get home.
There are worse things in life than having someone worry about you.
Good girl.
I’ve seen the buoyancy that comes with love. The weightlessness and rush make people believe they can walk on water.
there is always more lurking beneath the surface, a darker facet of love that doesn’t raise you up, but drags you under instead. It steals your breath and fills your lungs until you asphyxiate.
It’s the kind of love that pulls you into its current before drowning you in its ...

Thank you for looking after me, Atlas. I’m lucky you decided you wanted to be my friend.” I smile. “I don’t want to be your friend, Ivy. I want to fuck you.”
“I’ll let you run for now, Ivy, but know that I always get what I want.”
“Well, it’s good for you to experience a dose of humility then, isn’t it?” I fire back, embarrassed by my body’s reaction to him.
“We’ll see about humility, little one, when you’re tied to my bed begging me to fuck you. And you will, Ivy, mark my words.”
He might be older and wiser, but the man will only have power over me if I let him.
Beautiful flowers for a beautiful woman, but you smell far sweeter.
“I’m not playing any games. You made an assumption and I didn’t like it.
“You’re mine. You might not understand it right now, Ivy, but you will. I’m not a good man, but I can be good to you.”
“We’re like fire and gasoline, Atlas. This is gonna explode in our faces.”
“Undoubtedly, but it’s too late to tu...

“Roll your eyes at me again, Ivy. I dare you. It will give me the perfect excuse to put you over my knee.”
“Are you getting wet at the thought of my hand making your ass red? I wouldn’t go easy on you. If you earn a punishment, you’ll get what you deserve. But if you take it like a good girl I might reward you.”
“You wouldn’t lie to me, would you, Ivy?” “No, of course not.”
In my experience, Ivy, everyone lies.”
“You have a very expressive face. Everything you’re thinking is right there for the world to see.”
“I…Atlas…we just met. We haven’t even been on a date.” “I don’t date, Ivy. I fuck. And I intend to fuck you in every conceivable way, but right now I want to eat you out before we get coffee. And something you should know—I hate waiting.”
“I…you…but…ah fuck it. You only live once, right?” “You have a dirty mouth on you, Ivy. Maybe I should shove my cock between your lips to keep you quiet.”
“Coffee, then cunnilingus. Sounds like a plan to me.”
I’m sure the coffee here is imported and decadent, but something is missing that you just can’t get in a place like this.
With small coffee shops, especially the one I frequent, it’s about the ambiance. As soon as you walk inside, the warm toasted aroma of coffee hits you in the face like an invigorating kiss that ensnares you long before any caffeine hits your system. You don’t get that here as there are too many other scents interfering with the purity of it.
Coffee shops are a community in their own way, gathering people from all walks of life, all with a common need.
“Careful, Atlas. I might think you like me.” I smile as he leads me across the restaurant to wait for Pete. “Hmm…we wouldn’t want that now, would we?”
“An optimist, huh?” “A little ray of sunshine is more than I can pull off, but I’m definitely a silver lining kind of girl, or try to be.”
“Good. The world could use a little more of the glass-half-full kind of attitude.” “If a glass is half empty, it just means there is more space for tequila.”
“You came.” “I’ll always come for you, Ivy,”
There is something about her innocence that makes me want to destroy it.
“You’re already doing it. You’re pretty good at this whole white knight thing, Atlas.”
“I’m no hero, Ivy. You start thinking like that and you’ll only end up disappointed.”
