I’ll always be here for you and love you, no matter what happens.” Squeezing his hand, I let his words settle into my heart and take away the pain I’ve been feeling since Owen died. “I solemnly swear to be your best friend and to never leave you. I’ll never hurt you and will always love you. No matter what happens.”
Having Zach close like this feels perfect and heals even more of the pain I’ve been feeling lately. Like he’s a special gift given to me.

“It’s hard to picture you as some manly man. You’ve got that whole twinkish, pretty boy thing going on.” “Pretty boy? Are you saying I’m pretty?” He rolls his eyes. “Yes, I’m saying you’re pretty.”
You can’t control people and what they do, only your reaction to their behavior. Don’t give them a single part of you, not even your anger. Feel it for a moment, but then move on. They are of no meaning or value in your life. They only have power if you give it to them, so don’t. It’s over and done with. Learn from it and move on.”
