“Tonight was really fun,” Meabh said. She put her hand on my arm. It felt strange. It was just my arm and yet it felt weirdly intimate. Her touch was gentle but deliberate. I looked into her eyes. She bit her lip. My gaze fell on her lips then. It was so quiet I could hear her breathing like she was trying to keep it steady. My heart pounded. Her lips parted. I wanted to lean in.

I winked and put a finger to my lips. She smiled and I forgot about Holly.
