Evie pulled a face and pointed a finger at Aurora. “I thought we agreed you wouldn’t eat live things in front of me.” Aurora’s jaw paused and she looked like a kid caught with her hand in a cookie jar. “But it stung me.”
“No, I’m not cold.” Aurora pointed at the moon. “That is my sunrise and the moon calls to me. It is to me as the sun is to you, my light and guide. The stars my signposts so I’m never lost.” Evie gave Aurora a thoughtful look. “You’re traveling by day because of me, aren’t you? You’re nocturnal.” “Yes, I am. It’s also safer to travel by night.
