I was so tired from carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders that they physically ached, so I cried. I cried for the little girl who was confused about the lack of love she received. I cried for the teenager who rebelled and raged, hoping that anything would garner her mother’s attention. I cried for the young woman who allowed herself to be used and neglected in too many relationships because it was all she knew.
For once, I cried for me because nobody else would.
