Based on the timeline of the events and the situations the author outlines earlier in this manuscript, Dr. Haverstock seems the most likely candidate, but it seems wildly unlikely that she had any part in what is related here. Dr. Haverstock died before the manuscript was discovered, so we cannot ask her. Even if we could, we would be loath to suggest that she committed the crimes Dr. Gregory accuses her of.
