Apparently suspecting the vaccine might be lethal, Gates’s team elected not to test it against a placebo. They used, instead, highly reactogenic meningitis and rabies vaccines that, themselves, were never tested against a placebo. The meningitis jab was famous for causing alarming numbers of injuries and deaths.
