The Apology Project

The best way I can describe Hugh Phoebe is a cross between an old-school stereotypical Italian mobster, like Marlon Brando from The Godfather, and Felonius Gru, the bad guy from Despicable Me. I shudder at the disturbing visual.

I have all my notes and I’m ready. I even wore my pristine white Chanel power suit and sky-high Louboutins, the ones that say, “If I can walk in these all day, I can win any case.” They make me feel fierce and in charge.

“Well, that’s easily fixed,” he says, and I notice a dimple on his right cheek. Dimples are a weakness of mine, but I ignore it and continue to glare at the intruder. His salt-and-pepper hair is combed neatly back, his suit immaculate and fitted perfectly.

I’m still not sure about him, and I will not let those eyes and that dimple sway me.

My forty-year-old-lady heart really likes babe.
