I’m willing to say I’m sorry even if I wasn’t completely at fault because sometimes you just have to admit you played some role in the mess, even if you can’t pinpoint what that role was. It’s irrelevant.
And it turns out that apologizing really does set you free. It’s not about the person you’ve hurt; it’s about letting it go so you can move on. And most importantly, it’s about acknowledging when you are wrong, which I have been many times. Learning from your mistakes is a powerful thing.
