Left unsaid was that Biden states received 88.4 percent of the funding and an average award of more than $3.5 million—3.34 times as large as the amount Trump states received. Four states that received funds switched from Trump states in 2016 to Biden states in 2020. Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania received $35,579,609—more than half of all funds. By contrast, Florida, a state that became more firmly Trump-supporting in 2020, received only $287,000 in CEIR funding.86
“The willingness of Democratic administrations to just make war on the NVRA is appalling,” said Popper, whose group sued California over its voter roll failures. California in particular got a special dispensation from Clinton attorney general Janet Reno to operate under an esoteric and erroneous interpretation of the NVRA, leading the state to ignore voter roll maintenance for decades.
It’s absolutely true that having bloated voter rolls makes states and localities more susceptible to voter fraud.
However, pointing out the existence of inaccurate voter rolls is not the same thing as proving that voter fraud is occurring.
Despite the media’s best efforts, a few months later, in June, it would become impossible to deny there was a link between mail-in ballots and election fraud.
