It’s a hard, bitter pill to swallow, but I have to accept the truth—the poison laced truth—
Ander finally decided to save himself.
For the first time in months, my smile reaches my eyes.
There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel and there’s always a rainbow after every storm.
“Your home is in my arms,” his voice is quieter and hoarse. “Come home, baby.”
Nothing in life is permanent, it’s all temporary. Emotions and feelings are just as fleeting. What is permanent though, is the effect that you had on others or left in the world.
“This is real. I am real. We are real.”
I’m lost in Hadley and we’re both lost in love.
“I think that was the baby kicking.” Emotion builds in my throat and I blink away the tears as I smile at Ander.
“I’m yours, Ander. I’ve always been and I always will be.”
We crash and fall and fucking burn, lost in the depths of the fire between us. But every time we burn, we burn together.
He is worth it. He always has been—demons and all. And I will spend the rest of my days showing him that he deserves the world.
“Marry me.”
“Make me your wife, Ander, because you’re stuck with me for an eternity.”
It will always end with love.
“Phoenix,”
“I want to name him Phoenix.”
“The phoenix symbolizes rebirth and strength.
“The future is ours.”
