I was born to serve the light, but the dark had brought them to me. My friends. My lovers. My soulmates. The dark had given me life and hope and meaning when I’d had none.
Whatever this thing was that was tying us together, Grace was never going to have agathos soul bonds. I’d make sure of it.
Fuck the consequences. I was going to keep her.
Grace had curled up on her end of the couch, but our hands had sought each other out in sleep, our fingers loosely intertwined between us.
“One man’s flaw is a certain woman’s kryptonite.
Fuck it, I was rushing back for snuggles and I had zero regrets about it.
“It’s time to go, Amazing Grace,” the voice said softly. “Riot is home.”
“I am very possessive,” Riot murmured in a low voice, dripping with sin. “That doesn’t mean I want to tell you how to dress. It means I want you to wear my clothes just because you want to. It means I want my name tattooed on your skin. It means I want to run next to you and tell anyone who looks at you to fuck off. Unfortunately, those aren’t options for us,” he added irritably, though it sort of sounded like he said for now under his breath.
Grace would never be allowed to shine among the agathos, but I’d build her a safe place where she could fucking glow.
