Chloe Larson listened to Gaby babble on and on, thinking, Wow, can this girl talk! Her best friend was never quiet. He liked the way she’d greeted him with her high cheekbones flushed from the heat and her windblown hair spilling over her shoulders.
“This morning I got into work and saw an email from Chris, A.K.A. Mr. Hottie-Sherman, as you like to call him, Gabs!”
Looking down, she pulled out her phone and opened the email thread. “He said, Hi Chloe, it was great to meet you. I enjoyed talking with you very much. I’d like to see you again. If you’d like to meet for coffee, drinks, or dinner sometime, let me know. Chris.” Jess’s eyes went wide. “Ohhh … That’s so cute!
After Jess left, Chloe stood in the kitchen, deep in thought. She missed her keen intuition at times like these—with it, she knew she could try to keep the people she loved safe. On the flip side, always knowing what would happen ruined the element of surprise. Today would not have been as exhilarating if she had known it was going to happen.
The main character, Chloe has a special ability to "sense" things. Sometimes it works well for her and sometimes it doesn't work so well...
