She’s nothing to me.” Even as the words left my mouth, I knew they were bullshit. I didn’t know what she was, but she wasn’t nothing, that’s for sure. Nothing didn’t show up in your dreams every night. Nothing didn’t consume your thoughts all day.
“Why are you being so nice to me? You hate me, remember?” she said, and she pulled back to look up at me. “I don’t hate you. But I sure have tried.” I laughed, and a small smile spread across her pretty face. “God, you’re so damn pretty.”
“I came here because I don’t know what to do about the fact that I fucking love you.” My jaw dropped to the floor and a loud squeal came from the other side of the door and we both turned to look. “Stop eavesdropping, little willow,” Crew said through the door as he barked out a laugh.
“Jesus, you’re so beautiful. Do you know how long I’ve been searching for you?” “How long?” I smiled up at him, running my fingers through his hair. “My whole fucking life.”

What was it with everyone and these goddamn nicknames? You were given a name at birth. Use it. What’s the point of going through the whole process of choosing a name if everyone is going to call you something different?
