I knew how precious life was. I knew how important family was. And most importantly, I knew that you only got one shot at this life. You didn’t get to pick and choose your time, so you best appreciate the time that you had.
“I don’t hate you. But I sure have tried.” I laughed, and a small smile spread across her pretty face. “God, you’re so damn pretty.”
“I came here because I don’t know what to do about the fact that I fucking love you.” My jaw dropped to the floor and a loud squeal came from the other side of the door and we both turned to look. “Stop eavesdropping, little willow,” Crew said through the door as he barked out a laugh.
“Jesus, you’re so beautiful. Do you know how long I’ve been searching for you?” “How long?” I smiled up at him, running my fingers through his hair. “My whole fucking life.”
“Life is not perfect. No relationship is without its obstacles. But if you love someone, really love someone, you’ll figure it out. But you’ve got to be willing to fight for it.”
“I’m learning that grief and anger are cruel beasts. You can either stay there and drown, or you can come out fighting. Forgiveness isn’t always easy, or everyone would do it.”
