The outcome of the election speaks to a deeper polarization in American society. The Democrats did not win an overwhelming victory against Trump and Trumpism. Probably the biggest weakness of our system right now is the fact that many Republicans think that the Democratic Party is a bigger threat to their way of life than Russia, which I find completely incomprehensible.
