Because I’m not the kind of girl who gets the guy.
Because fat girls don’t eat in front of hot guys they have crushes on.
Because it’s the equivalent of taking a giant dump in front of you.
Everyone knows food is what makes you fat, so it goes without saying that when a heavy person eats in front of those who aren’t, they’re being judged. As if we’re expected to eat salads and veggies only. Because we no longer deserve to indulge and enjoy food since we abused it and let ourselves go.
“So good it will be worth those forty-four-hour drives.”
They say when you play with fire, you get burned. But when you love it? You get destroyed.
“Mistakes don’t define who someone is, Phoenix. It’s what you do after that does.”
Phoenix’s are supposed to rise from the ashes… But this one wants to burn.
“Sometimes the people you think you know best…turn out to be nothing but impostors.”
It’s another reminder that even though pain can fade…it never really goes away.
“I see the way that girl still looks at you. We both know she’s not his.”
“There are over twenty-five thousand fans waiting inside that arena for you.” And we’re already late. The calloused tips of his fingers capture my chin. “But the only person who matters to me is sitting right here.”
“Because you begged her to kiss you…and she begged me to fuck her.”
The sun is exceptional, alluring, and mystifying… But it burns when you get too close.
“Don’t let your insecurities overpower that which makes your soul come alive. Otherwise, you’ll walk this earth never feeling whole…and that’s no way to live.”
The girl I ruined saved me. How’s that for irony?
Unfortunately, the bad stuff has always stuck inside my psyche like glue. Theoretically, I could receive a hundred compliments, but it still wouldn’t be enough to bury one cruel remark.
Because it isn’t Sabrina, or the people at school, or the trolls online that are my greatest enemy. It’s this thing. It’s me.
To which he responded—“then why wouldn’t you extend the same compassion to yourself?”
“No one is perfect, Lennon. But what you think are flaws aren’t to those who love you. So, be one of those people who love you, okay?
This girl is burrowed so deep in my soul the best surgeon on the planet couldn’t cut her out.
