“Do you see anyone you like?” Millar asked over his shoulder. Davin’s eyes flickered to Miss Dutson.
Not that Davin had been watching her all morning or had noticed the way she had complimented each woman as they arrived. That would be ridiculous.
The problem with warning signs was they made a person want to disobey them.
“I’m not standing by you anymore.” Emree distanced herself from him. “You’ll get me in trouble.”
She just wanted to feel wanted.
Unfortunately, every time they talked about where they stood, Emree ended up feeling less and less secure.
