Noticing this w the string of romance books I have read where the hatred portion is too intense to the t where im like fck this guy and then the romance escalates way too quickly... Like it’s literally i fucking hate you to im riding u within minutes like wtf... What happened to slow burn and likeable male protagonists or at the very least not violently hateful in a way thats hard to get past when all the sudden they start fucking. Like i get banter but there is a line in this that literally says “dismember” like what. Why would i want to fck somebody that fantasized about dismembering me ....
