“Only for you,” he whispers against my mouth. He finds my lips with his like they were never meant to be apart. The taste of him is intoxicating. It’s been less than an hour since I last saw him, but any time apart from him makes me crave him even more.
“Would you like it if I told you that us being here was written in the stars?” he asks. “Hmm, yes. I would like to believe in something.” “You and me, we’re written in the stars, love.”
“The monsters that live in your mind really do exist. They just have the face of a human,”
“You’re really making me work for it, aren’t you, love?” My hand brushes up his arm and to his strained biceps. “I’m keeping you on your toes. Wouldn’t want you to get bored with me.” He shakes his head and gently places both of his hands on either side of my face. “Not in a million years.” He inclines, and his mouth joins with mine, setting every inch of my skin into an inferno.
Taking a deep, shaky breath, I open my eyes and let myself skim the words that will be entrenched in my mind for the rest of eternity. Maybe we’ll meet again in another life. When the stars align.
