As we are a story in Earth’s biography, so is Earth the chapter to a longer book.
“Stop giving me those eyes, little mouse, or I’ll have to eat you,”
I’m alone, and this is how it needs to be. I fooled myself once, and I paid the price for it. I won’t do it again.
His heart is yearning for it. Aching to be filled with the love of another. Yet he can’t accept it.
We don’t call it a religion, because neither of us believe in that. It’s just the way of the world. We live by earth and die by earth; our God, Mother.
It was with our minds truly open to the great plan of the universe that we saw it all so much clearer.
Drake will never be able to love me back… Darian’s voice speaks in his mind. He’s ashamed of wanting me.
It showed me the location where Lars and Jenny would die, thirteen years before it happened. It showed me and I couldn’t stop it. Because it’s my curse to hold all the pain.
I can’t hate him the way he craves. I can only hate how much I fucking love him, and how much I’ll never stop. An infinite truth.
I just wish I could keep him afterward. But he slithers off like the serpent he is. Never to be captured.
“Irrelevant. Love isn’t as definitive as you Outsiders like to make it seem. Love can fade, it can expand. Over long periods of time, or short ones.”
Once the window of the mind is opened, empathy allows you to hear your fellow man. Maybe you could even hear other things…
“Open your eyes, love,” I demand, slinking my fingers into his hair. “I want to watch you fall from grace.”
Mankind in general has turned this planet into something disgusting, but America really takes the cake as far as cruelty, dissonance, and a blatant disregard for the conscience we so actively try to convince others we have in spades.
How is it possible to feel someone else’s pain? Is empathy really that strong? Can it be?
I’ll be the evil, for their good. After all, it’s the balance. The natural order. Evil atones.
“No. I don’t give a fuck,” I hiss. “All I’ve ever wanted was you, and you’ve done nothing but run from me!”
“There is something I’ll need from you, my love.” “Mmm… and I’ll give it to you,” I growl through a wicked grin, trailing my lips down his throat. “Deep and hard.”
Maybe that’s what facing real evil does to you… It gives you the ability to seek out the light, even when it’s buried within the shades of your comfort.
“The most perfect bliss of control comes when you let go.”
There’s something so primitive about fucking on the ground, surrounded by dirt and grass, leaves and stones. It’s not elegant or romantic. It brings us back to our roots, animals that we are.
