It was so important to me to show King and Preppy meeting as kids because I wanted to show the strong bond between friends and how important they will be in eachother's lives. Little King and Preppy are awesome.

Technically, you can say that I was caring for her. Technically, I wanted to face fuck her until she gagged.

I wrote this while putting myself in King's shoes. I never thought it would be shocking until people told me!

There was a 90's movie (Judge Dredd) where the police have the roll of judge, jury and executioner and that always stuck in my head and when I wrote King I knew the kind of guy he should be and this fit perfectly with his intentions and the way he lives his life. -T.M.

me. I loved the way he made me feel so small. I loved the way his nostrils flared when he was about to kiss me, and then when he did, I loved that he kissed me like he was mad at me. Like it was my fault I was so desirable that he just had to put his lips to mine, his hands on me.

I know that penguins aren't the only flightless birds but this was more King saying something to make the kid smile and showing he has a bit of a softer side. After it was published I was going to go back and change it but I decided not to because it shows how human he is because all humans make mistakes and we all say things that aren't true at times.

I love looking back and reading the tension between them in this part. So much emotion. Anger. Confusion. LUST. King & Doe forever.

I’d found myself again in the haunted eyes of a girl who was just as lost as I was. Or maybe, we didn’t find each other at all. Maybe, we just decided to be lost together.

My favorite line from King. I wrote it because I don't want to concentrate on the characters changing for eachother, but accepting one another for who they are.

The next book is Tyrant. Then Bear's story is Lawless and Soulless. You will learn at the end of Soulless a huge surprise that links back to King & Doe's story and I promise you won't be dissapointed.

King was a bad guy, but he was my bad guy.

I don't think showing people completely changing isn't how love works but showing acceptance for who they are and loving them for it is what's most important and this line shows it for sure. We should all have a great man who is a bad boy in our lives. : )

True story: The next book is called Tyrant. It was almost called Doe, Ray, Me. Get it? LOL!
