next time you feel agitated because you are falling back into past patterns, remember that simply being aware that you are repeating the past is a sign of progress
for far too long i was unaware that the only way for life to improve, for my relationships to feel rich, and for my mind to finally experience ease was for me to explore and embrace the anxious unknown that dwelled within
we all have the same basic structure of mind and emotions, but we have distinct mental conditioning because no two people have experienced the same exact life.
“happiness is not fulfilling every pleasure or getting every outcome you desire. happiness is being able to enjoy life with a peaceful mind that is not constantly craving more. it is the inner peace that comes with embracing change.”
feeling and being with your emotions without reacting to them; it is the calmness that emerges when you embrace change
The best way to access and heal your past is by not running away from yourself in the present moment.
progress is acknowledging where you are and where you want to be without allowing the space between the two to cause you mental tension.
some may misunderstand you, but what matters most is that you understand you
conscious thought patterns may have changed for the better, but our subconscious thoughts, the ones that sometimes spontaneously emerge, are still filled with the heaviness and harshness of old ways.
these are marvels of the human spirit, actions that are most easily taken by healed hearts.
