If we ignore these worst-case scenarios, the rare unwinding of unmitigated psychosis into violence—violence almost always unleashed on loved ones—we are accessories to the disease’s murders.
Surely, this one of the most powerful lines provoked by these tragic events. I find these words an empowering call to action. And I draw it's parallels from serious mental illness to any marginalized state of being with no ability to fight for oneself. Ignoring the reality of marginalized peoples in our world makes us culpable for their pain and accessories to their actions.
