Hashing out the newness of the new covenant is a difficult task, and it’s no surprise that Christian traditions do this in slightly different ways. Yet some things do not change. The God of the New Testament is the same God of the Old Testament. The New Testament’s teaching of salvation by grace through faith is not a new way of salvation but continues the path of salvation by grace through faith from the Old Testament.
