Unlike the white people who claimed Obama was proof of a post-racial America even though most white voters didn’t vote for him, Trump voters proudly admit that they cast their ballots for an unapologetic bigot just like the white supremacists of Reconstruction and the white nationalists of the civil rights era proudly proclaimed their objections to racial equality.
