People don’t come naturally to me, and I’ve had to study and practice, like when you’re first learning to read and have to sound out the syllables. I have to learn people phonetically and then memorize them by rote. Objects are easier because they tell it straight up. That’s one of the differences between people and things. Things don’t lie or tease or fool around. They don’t hide their feelings. You can tell when a thing is happy or sad or bored or mad. Especially mad.
