I leave her by her car with a small, chaste kiss. Tomorrow night, though … if I’m going to kiss her, it’s not going to be on her cheek.
“You like to smile, don’t you? Her head tilts with a small nod. “Happiness is a choice.”
One small problem, though: there’s nothing about the two of us that I want to do slow.
She needs time to know I’m serious—hell, she needed a year just to let me take her out for coffee. I’ll give her all the time in the world … tomorrow. But right now? “Not yet,” I tell her, positioning myself on top of her again. The bed groans and her bottom lip drops open just slightly. “I’m not done with you yet. Spread your legs for me.”
