She knew that the characters I loved in books, films, and TV shows, filled the gaps left by absent family and nonexistent friends when I was a child.

I relate to this so much, and even still to this day have trouble finding if the reason I love reading so much is because I enjoy it or because I need an escape from life.

The idea of just being normal seems to make you so unhappy, but it’s all I ever wanted us to be.

Few people are genuinely capable of forgiveness, and nobody ever really forgets.
