“Here we go.” Mom lifted her arms. “I call upon the power of the north. Bring strength, determination and resilience.” Marnie was next. “I call upon the power of the east. Bring love, devotion and loyalty.” Twila was third. “I call upon the power of the south. Bring grace, acceptance and peace.” Thistle was last. “I call upon the power of the west. Bring anger, retribution and hate.”
