We are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).
So often we want God to show us the finished picture of His vision for us before we step out of our boat. But God doesn’t usually reveal the full vison. What He does give us is His Word, and through His Word, He gives us faith (Romans 10:17).
I’ve found that we tend to overcomplicate who God is and how He speaks. Remember that His love is uncomplicated. If it’s truly a message from God, He’ll make it clear.
Holy Father, forgive me for ever asking You to prove Yourself. Instead, open my eyes to see all the wonderful ways You already show up in my life. Amen.
Don’t just half listen to God. Don’t just sort of obey. Go all in with Him. You won’t regret it.
Lord, forgive me for the times I try to follow my own plans instead of Yours. Show me where I need to make changes so that I am following Your path and not my own. Amen.
“When you draw near to God, he will draw near to you. . . . And if you’ll be quiet and if you’ll listen, you’ll hear the gentle whisper of a good God, who is always with you.”
Lord, please quiet all the overwhelming noise in my life so that I can hear Your whispers. Amen.
Don’t look back at your mistakes and let them decide your future.
