Once you mistake solitude for loneliness, the whole context changes. Solitude is beautiful and carries grandeur and positivity. Loneliness is a sign of wretchedness and negativity and is ominous, but it is also natural; nobody can escape from it. Each one of us comes into this world alone and we have to go on our last journey alone.’

‘Solitude is our fundamental nature, my dear, but we are unaware of it, or don’t want to know and fail to know ourselves. People who know and recognise solitude make friends with it, and nothing else can be more blissful. Solitude allows us to be alone and at the same time, be with everyone.’
