In the present-day global context, it is easy to overlook the foreign workers in our midst. Certainly, single, female, foreign workers are the most vulnerable. The number of people living in a country other than their country of birth has increased 49 percent since the year 2000;67 many of these people are migrants, and a significant number are women.
