“There are very few people in the world fortunate enough to meet their soul mates. Even fewer are those who meet while they’re this young. I think it’s a gift. You’re a gift, birdie. To me. And to my brothers. And I’ll raze the world to keep you. You know that, don’t you?”
“We might have to have a conversation about your stalking, Dec,” I murmur, holding back the smile threatening to cross my face. “Not stalking, baby, just staying informed.”
"Eventually. We have a place here in the city for situations like this." "Situations where you get stabbed in some alleyway and have to get stitched up by some backroom doctor?"
"Jesus fucking Christ. Do I need to throw water on you three? Your brother's in the other room with a hole in his shoulder, and you three are panting after each other in my kitchen like a bunch of alley cats."
"I've been waiting my whole life to hear someone say those words to me and mean them. And I—I don't deserve you, baby girl, but I'll spend the rest of my life worshipping you."
I've missed you, Lainey. So goddamn much my bones hurt. I feel like I've been missing you my entire life."
“Hell yes, I’m fucking jealous. But not like you think, so just relax that furrowed brow, baby girl. I’m just dying to get my hands on you again. What can I say? I’m fucking greedy.”
“Apologies. When I see such a beautiful woman, sometimes I can’t help myself.” Sully steps into Alejandro’s space. “You better try harder, yeah?”
Rush kneels next to her on the floor, shielding her body from that angle. I watch as he holds her thighs in his hands, his gaze faraway and probably calculating whatever homicide he thinks will fix this.
Rush twists around in his seat, his calm facade cracking. "Do you want to do this in the car? Because I'd rather not get blood on the seats. I just got it detailed."
"It's fine—we're fine. Sometimes we just need to throw a punch before we can move on."
“And don’t be a fucking hero, Red,” Wolf warns. I roll my eyes. “It was one time. I walked into a building one time—” “A building that was crumbling and on fire,” Wolf growls out.
