When you got a position to hold you might as well look a little to keeping up your fences.”

There always had been the duty his father bravely had assumed, to acknowledge his obligations, to point the way to other men less sensitive to the call of God and Nature.

we don’t get life at our own volition in this world, and we have no right to give it up until the God who gave it says we have lived it.

I really like this thought

I called on God and He came to the rescue and made it life and work and a chance for happiness. I’ll tell her that if she will call on God, it will be in His power to straighten out her problems as mine are straightening.
