God changes your identity. The Enemy wants to define you by your scars. Jesus wants to define you by His scars. The grace of Jesus Christ removes your old identity and replaces it with a brand-new identity. First John 3:1 says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are!” (italics added). That is your new identity. You are a son or daughter of God. You are a child of the King. You are written into God’s will, and you are an heir of everything God has.
