“He called you ‘Sunny’ for more reason than one. He said you had the power of a burning light inside you. A demon power.”
Women can do anything, especially when we stick together.
Shadow Beast. He was not my enemy, or the being who had stolen my memories. He was my… everything.
“Our demons match, Shadow. Our souls match. Come back to me.”
I was a greedy bitch when it came to my beast.
“Nothing was the same without you. I didn’t know why, but I knew that I was missing something vital to my survival. I searched, and I destroyed. More than just the Solaris System. I stripped myself bare so I could build myself up again and find the fundamental part of my soul that was missing. Only you weren’t there.”
“True mates,” I whispered, my throat tight with both emotions and an impending orgasm. “Through this world and the next. For eternity.”

“Here’s to the beginning of our new life,” I said, clinking my respectable water with his glass of swill. “Thanks for kidnapping my ass. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. And you, of course, because… Shadowshine.”
Shadowshine. He’d been worried that one was too dark and the other too light with only destructive storms between us, but that was no longer the case. Now we were both filled with dark and light, and together, we were the storm.
