“You’re going to be locked up like a beetroot in a jam jar for the safety of the true queens and their people.”
“Our ladies Tory and Darcy have been swept away upon the wings of fate. Gabriel returned to tell us just moments ago after he delivered them to the doors of destiny.”
I mean shit, I was pissed they’d gone without saying goodbye and I would miss Blue like hell, but he was acting like Geraldine had said Tory would never return. “Chill, man, what’s going on?” I asked him as he started pacing back and forth in front of the door. “She’s not going to be back for months,” he spat. “I don’t have months.” “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Because of your brother?” I asked sadly. Roary Night had turned out to be a decent ally in Darkmore Penitentiary, and I had to admit the reason that he was in there turned my star damned stomach. “Yeah, Dad won’t even speak to him, because of the shame. I guess you know a lot about shame so you probably understand that, shamesy. I wanna get revenge on him for being such a dick…” Leon said,
Leon was wearing snug jeans which clung to his thick thighs, his muscular frame filling out his white t-shirt. His golden hair practically shone in the light of the sconces around him and I shook my head at the guy, a smile lifting my lips for a second. He had grown on me a little since he’d befriended Gabriel, especially since he’d stopped being such an uber fan of mine because of my Pitball status.
“So who are we recruiting?” Leon asked. “Let’s bring Caleb,” I decided. “Yes – I love Caleb! And he’s your sanguis frater now too, right?” he cooed, turning to me and reaching out to brush his thumb over the pinprick silver marks on my neck. “Yeah.” I batted his hand away. “Gabriel told you?” “Yup. But he says I’m not to keep going on about how cool it is because Vampire covens are bad and if I make it sound too cool then other Vampires might get ideas about joining up which apparently isn’t a good thing
“Did you watch that documentary on that blood river in eastern Voldrakia I told you about?” “Yeah,” I said as we released each other. “It got me so thirsty, I had to wake Darcy up to feed from her.” “Yeah, that shit got me so thirsty too. I knew I was gonna feed on the next person I saw until I bumped into Washer,” Caleb said, wrinkling his nose. “Ergh, Nova made me feed from him once for a class demonstration,” I said in disgust. “He ground himself all over me and my fangs wouldn’t extend again for a week.” “Shit, he gave you fang fear?” Caleb gasped. “Massively,” I said and Caleb turned to

“Oh, I bet fang fear is the worst,” Leon said sadly. “Lions get mane fear if someone touches our hair without permission. It happened to me once…I’ve never really gotten over it.” He shuddered and Caleb pressed a hand to his arm. “That must have been awful,” he said as Leon nodded sadly then Seth suddenly popped his head out from under Caleb’s arm through the door.
“So where are we going?” “To my hometown,” Leon said. “Alestria.”
“Ergh, are we in hell?” Caleb muttered, stepping closer to me like I might be able to ward off the stench. “Oh my stars, is that a shit? Like a Fae fucking turd, right there by that dumpster?” He pulled his shirt up over his nose and I couldn’t really blame him. “It’s the magic of Alestria,” Leon cooed. “Between the grime, the piss and the shits that hobos do in alleys, there’s something really special about this place.”
spider, but my gut clenched at the other possibility. Gnarla spiders were rare as hell, but their webs were notoriously sticky and a place like this was perfect for something that size. I just prayed to the fucking stars I was wrong about that assessment though.
“I’m gonna be diseased. I’ll get Faeitis. Faeiphylis. Fucking pink eye,” Seth cried in a panic. “You’re fine, dude,” Leon said easily. “This water’s clean. The river of shit is in the next tunnel over.”
“Lucky we didn’t bring Darius, he would have tried to claim all of this from you,” I said and Leon growled at the idea of that.
“No secret, no stone,” Leon said airily, shrugging his shoulders and I growled. “We need that stone. I’ll just tell Gabriel to take it from you,” I said and Leon gasped, holding his hand to his chest in offence. “You wouldn’t,” he hissed.
“You know I love you, don’t you, asshole?” Darius broke the silence after a while and I looked at him in surprise. “Are you about to ask me to elope with you now Tory’s out of the picture?” I teased and he thumped my arm.
“Fuck no. Go find some Wolves to rub yourself on, for the love of the moon. Or I bet Washer would be up for a cuddle with you,” I suggested. “Or just shift if you have to be fucking naked,” Darius commanded and the shift rippled down Seth’s flesh, nearly shoving me out of the bed entirely as a massive white Wolf appeared in his place and the bed creaked from the weight of us all.
putting on a hat that hasn’t been washed for months, maybe years,” I said, eyeing the thing in my hand. “Can’t you use your water magic on it?” Darius wrinkled his nose. “I’m afraid I’ll wash the souls right out of it,”
“You must understand that the Nymphs are not all loyal to the Shadow Princess,” Miguel said hurriedly. “Many of us are enslaved as I was, but many more are in hiding.”
Their deaths should have been the end of my troubles, but now their daughters had returned to lure away my Heir and his Guardian with their pussies. No matter though, I had things under control.
Once upon a time, she and I had studied together at Zodiac Academy alongside Hail Vega, the other Celestial Councillors and Azriel Orion.
“Who’s lame now, Radcliff?” His dying reply had left a bitter taste on my lips though. “You are,” he spat around his swollen tongue. “You’re unFae, unwanted, and will always be Lame Lionel no matter what you achieve.”
Stella had always shared my vision for the world, she had been a perfect accomplice in many ways. Her obsession with me had always been useful to my needs and she’d been happy to play the part I created for her in my rise. She even married Azriel Orion so that she could grant me access to the research he was doing for the king, helping me find out more and more about the shadow realm and creating our plans to steal their power for ourselves.
“I’ve come to ask for mercy.” “Mercy?” I chuckled at the word. “I have no bone to pick with you, Stella.” “Not mercy for me,” she said, her eyes raising to mine again. “For my son.” I growled, stepping closer to her as a dangerous energy rose in me. “Your son is a traitor to the king.” “I know,” she breathed, her throat rising and falling as fear crept into her features. “I’m not asking for a pardon. All I ask is that if he is caught, he will not be killed. I have already suffered the loss of my daughter, to lose him too-” I struck her, my hand smacking hard enough across her face to leave a

A shocking discovery has been made that is set to rattle the nation. Catalina Acrux - wife to King Lionel Acrux – was previously thought dead after a tragic accident at The Palace of Souls. However, she has not only has been found alive, it’s been declared that she has dissolved her marriage to the king and re-married a known Vega supporter and rebellion leader, Hamish Grus. I froze, every fibre of my body turning to solid, unyielding ice as I stared at the photograph accompanying the article of my wife – my fucking wife – alive and well looking as stunning as she had the day I’d made her my

The photos demonstrate a strong alliance between the Heirs and Vegas twins, and since their disappearance after the battle at The Palace of Souls, it is clear they have formed a bond which could rock the foundations of the kingdom.
Catalina bravely detailed her years of abuse while her new husband Hamish Grus remained at her side, their hands clasped together in a union that spoke of a deep and caring relationship between them. Darius and Xavier Acrux also gave their accounts of years of mistreatment, painting a frightening picture of a violent father who created a fearful home for his family with little stability and constant pressure to perform.
The Daily Solaria has reached out to King Acrux for comment, and we will wait to hear his response. What we know for sure, is that the false king who paints himself as a great ruler, appears to be nothing but an abuser with years of shameful secrets to his name. One can only wonder at what else he is hiding, and at a time of great unrest in the kingdom, we must ask ourselves who it is morally right to align ourselves with.
And there stood Lavinia in a mist of shadow with Jenkins held above her head, her hand buried in his chest as he jerked and thrashed, unable to scream around the shadows pouring into his mouth.
“You have had plenty of time to offer me one. So where is it?” I shoved her face harder against the wall and she moaned louder. “I told you I would give you an Heir once I was your queen. Not before,” she gasped.
It had been a long time for so many rebels to hide beneath the ground, and the victories we won against Lionel as we tore down his Nebula Inquisition Centres only provided a small respite from the monotony of life hidden away from the world.
They’d gone from bitter rivals to fucking besties with no more than a little love bite shared between them, and I couldn’t even doubt their new bond because I could feel it humming between them as if they’d been best friends since they were kids.
“I need each and every one of you to make a plot to assassinate the false king’s Seer Vard over the coming month,” he was saying. “You can choose any time to strike and come up with the darkest and most gruesome methods of attack that you can manage. It is imperative that you make this your priority. We need him dead, and we need it to happen as soon as possible.”
“Oh good golly, I think I get it!” Geraldine cried, bouncing in her seat and drawing my attention to her tits. “This is an old fashioned distract and dongle move, isn’t it?” “It is,” Gabriel agreed.
“So that’s why your little gang of hooligans have been slapping Lionel with shit pies to the face, making him trip and fall into questionable puddles and throwing Dragon dick dildos at his head during his public appearances?” Seth asked, his eyes filling with understanding. “You were figuring out the limits to Vard’s abilities.” “Exactly,” Gabriel replied proudly. “And when I sat watching the slow-motion replay of that big, glittering, plastic Pegasex doll dick slapping him around the face at the official coronation for his shadow queen last night, I knew it was time.”
“I sense a crafty cretin in the wings,” Geraldine whispered,
Tory will be back before you know it and you’ll be able to look forward to a future where you create mini Dragons and Phoenixes to chase around after each other in a kingdom which thrives in peace.”
“You have always been a brother to me,” I said roughly. “And the love I feel for you is mightier than any bond placed upon us ever could have forced us to feel. If I do die, I want you to know that-” “Darius, don’t-”
“Darcy told me that Queen Merissa left visions for her marked by a symbol like that,” Orion breathed, stepping towards the marking with a look of awe on his face. I arched a brow in suspicion. “Why would the queen have left a vision for us to find?”
was gifted visions of Roxy and I, looking younger than we were now, drawn to each other time and again, sharing our first kiss in this very palace during her fifteenth birthday party and getting caught by her father who damn near bit me in half as he chased me the hell out of there. Lance and Darcy fell for each other when he came home on his first break in the middle of a pro Pitball season and had a whirlwind romance which the press were all over like a rash. Roxy and I kept sneaking around, trying to fight what we were to one another because of our positions and what it would mean for the

But as the impression of that vision lingered within my mind, I began to wonder if a future with the two of them claiming the throne really would be as bad as I’d feared. With the other Heirs there to guide them, perhaps they could learn what was needed for the rule of our kingdom. But I wouldn’t be around to find out if that was the future they would face or not.
I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if I truly did manage to destroy my father and tear him from this world before I was forced to follow him beyond The Veil. Because just maybe, once I was gone, the age of the Dragons would fall, and it would be time for the Phoenixes to rise once more.
“I’ll get them out of here. Cal needs help,” he said urgently, turning and running beyond the fence. His final words left me with a sense of terror in my chest as I leapt up on top of one of the sheds to see across the compound to find him.
Then I leapt off the roof of the shed, my paws thumping to the ground. I was already running, tearing towards my best friend and the guy I loved so deeply that the thought of losing him completely terrified me. I howled again, promising I was close, then sprang into the battle to help, colliding with the Nymph closest to him and taking the monster to the ground. I slashed my claws so hard across its face that I saw bone.
“Cal, come back. Wake up,” I croaked, offering him wave after wave of healing magic and feeling a head injury healing over as his eyes flickered and opened. “I knew it’d be you,” he said, his voice dry as a sideways smile hooked up his lips. “It’s always you.”
“Cal,” I whispered. “I’ve been meaning to tell you- I mean, Darcy thinks I should. And Orion too actually, and Tory now I mention it. And anyway, well now might not be the best time, but-” The dome was suddenly ripped off of us and Lionel appeared with his claws wrapped around it, a Dragon’s grin on his scaly face as he found us exposed beneath it.
“You’re the best Fae I know, Cal,” I told him earnestly. “And I fucking love you with all my heart.” “I’m gonna make you repeat that once we get out of this, Seth,” he said,
“But just in case, I want you to know that I wouldn’t pick anyone else in this world to die beside. You’re my ride or die, you know that? I fucking love Darius and Max, but you and me? We’ve got something special that I can’t even explain sometimes.” “You think so?” I asked, wondering if he was saying what I thought he was saying. “I know so,” he growled. “You’re like my Nebula Ally on fucking speed, man.”
I was fucking privileged to be Caleb Altair’s friend, and if that was all we were ever destined to be then that was enough for me. Because I’d spent most of my life loving the moon without ever resting a paw on its surface. So Caleb would be my new moon, my unreachable love hanging over me in the sky.
