Paul goes on to say that through God’s Holy Spirit, we are able to enter into and know the deep things of God. Because the depths of God are without measure, we should never be satisfied with our knowledge of Him. There will always be more and more for us to know and experience. The life of the believer should be marked by a desire for an ever-expanding knowledge of God. We must come to the realization that God by His Holy Spirit desires to lead us into His depths. We believe this because the Scripture tells us that we have within us the Spirit of God. Since this is true, we too can enter into the depths of God. Without this understanding, we approach God vainly, simply satisfied with the fragrance of God, and not God Himself. God wants us to enter freely and fully into His depths with the Holy Spirit as our guide.
