The wise church revitalizer looks on their failures as trainings to be celebrated and not mistakes to be bemoaned. If you will take on the outlook of never giving up and never allowing yourself to make the same mistakes tice you are well on your way as successful revitalizer. When you think of the word failure, many in the church see a huge dark cloud behind it. They see this is because, throughout their entire life they have been told that “failure is not an option,” but it is. How can you know where you need to improve if you have never failed at something? Things don’t just work instantaneously. There is a lot of trial and error in revitalization. When you try something and it doesn’t work the first time it provides you with answers on how to implement the situation the next time. However, if you don’t even attempt to try the first time how will you know your methods work, you don’t. Do not allow yourself as the church revitalizer and your church as the one being renewed to live with a pile of regrets because you were too afraid to try. You want to live out your ministry knowing that you gave it your best shot and when that wasn’t good enough you gave it another shot.
