Truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God), and prayer. If you have been paying attention, you have heard these weapons mocked by big-name evangelicals who call them “simplistic.” These things are all fine, they say, but they won’t cure racial injustice—as though racial injustice is a new sin that escaped God’s attention until now.
