Many modern Christians are uncomfortable with “war” language. Perhaps it is because of the aforementioned Eleventh Commandment: “Thou shalt be nice.” As a result, anything that looks or sounds remotely aggressive, confrontational, or masculine is deemed “less than Christian.” But the Bible is replete with war language (and actual war).
