“I’m sorry—I don’t know why I—” He grabbed her face with both hands and crushed his lips to hers.
He whipped back around, and in two long, deliberate steps, he crossed the distance between them and pinned her against the side of her Jeep, his hands in her hair. “I need you to tell me if you want this,” he murmured. “Because I can’t pretend that I don’t anymore.”
