Luck of the Titanic

When you live with someone whose mistress is the bottle, you say your goodbyes long before they depart.

Luxury is like good news, hard to enjoy without someone to share it with.

As far as I’m concerned, the best way to counter bad luck is to make some luck of your own.

If you catch a big fish, carry it home in a sack, or don’t be surprised if a bird carries it off.
