The Seven Day Switch

She often told me a quick surrender will take all the wind out of an angry person’s sails and make them notice how rude they are being.

There is nothing, truly, more stress relieving than deep cleaning. As I learned from my own mother, the act can be a meditation, a devotional, when done in one’s own time. When there is no shame attached (I should have taken care of this weeks ago), no regret (I wish I’d never bought this many gewgaws to dust), and no anger (How does one even get raspberry jam on the top of a picture frame?),

And Seth let her?

“That mommy

social season,

You’re the woman behind the man.”

The time has come for me to start soaking him up.

I’ll go with the same policy.”

But for me a weekend without Seth is no different than a weekend with him.
