There’s an old Jewish joke about a kid coming home from school and telling his mum he’s been cast in the class play as the husband, to which the mum consoles him, ‘Next year, you’ll get a speaking part’,

Recognising persecution and standing shoulder to shoulder with those who are oppressed and dispossessed is a key part of what it means to be Jewish.

– but to feel bad every morning when I make my porridge with oat milk since it’s against the laws of kashrut to cook a kid in the milk of its mother.

I cant quite understand how this is not kosher...???
